![]() ![]() So, with every other post on bookstagram including this book, I decided to fall prey to the hype and pick it up. But that’s how it usually is with the online book community, isn’t it? A couple people read a book and suddenly, everyone is reading the book. It seemed like everyone was reading this book. It was the middle of summer, it was hot, and all I was hearing about was this book. But when I was deciding which book to read with my best friend last summer, I kept on coming back to Beach Read. ![]() I would have never thought that this would be a book I would choose. If you asked me years ago if I was going to choose to read a romance book, I would have laughed. Or you just love romance, whatever the reason, I have a book review for you! Or you just want to escape the snow for a little while. So, if you are a summer lovin’ folk, who hates the chilly days of winter, keep reading! This is the book for you. This is the complete opposite of winter, with summer romance and beach days. In fact, I am going the complete opposite direction today with a book review of Beach Read by Emily Henry. Like I said, not every post this month for Blogmas is going to be winter-themed. ![]()

It’s bad enough that Ginny’s big brother has moved halfway across the country, but now she has to move, too – and start a new high school in her senior year? Yikes. It’s a story of friendship, family, healing, grief, abuse, and most of all, love – in all of its various forms. It is wonderfully progressive for its time period (Idk about you guys, but most of my 90s YA experience has been problematic AF), it has a beautiful plot that offers up the reminder that you have no idea what a person has been through, or what fine hells they have walked. I have literally no complaints about this book. It is easily the most underrated book I’ve ever read in my life and I would implore everyone to pick it up.
